About the Chancery Building
India was one of the first countries to set up an Embassy in Laos as early as 1955. The Chancery building was initially located at Rue Pangkham, and later shifted to its next location on Rue That Luang in 1979. In 2002, it was moved to the new diplomatic enclave. It occupies a spacious area, with a separate section for Consular affairs, and its own auditorium.
